Paywall Design

Time: 2 hours

The task was to design paywalls for two different apps, described like the following:

• A mobile car rental app where the user can rent a car and have it delivered to their address swiftly. The style and mood should be casual and joyful.
• A mobile movie and box set app that learns the user's tastes and recommends what they should watch next, based on the streaming services they subscribe to. The style and mood should be professional.

I was provided specific elements and copy to include, but for the rest I had full creative freedom. For the car rental app, I chose a light color palette and playful font, and used visual assets to convey the app's selling point. For the movie app, I incorporated movie theater imagery while keeping the focus on the list of premium features. This was a timed 2-hour challenge.

Gardening App User Flow

Time: 1 week

For this assignment, the task was to design wireframes for a plant care app based on the following user needs:

• As a user, I want to identify a plant’s name, classification, characteristics, and care tips by taking a photo.
• Divide plants according to the room they’re in.
• Track each plant’s growth by recording details such as age, height, pot size, and sun exposure.
• Be told when the time comes to water, fertilize, or prune plants
• Learn about a plant by searching for its name.
• Report a plant’s problem to receive a diagnosis and solution from expert gardeners.

I chose to present my wireframes in the form of a wireflow diagram.
